Orders, delivery and returns

Underscentable is a reference site, not a shop. Nothing is sold here and no order ever reaches us, so a question about a payment, a shipment or a return has to go to the retailer you bought from. They hold the order and we do not, which means writing to us only adds a step.

Corrections to the data

These are the most useful messages we get. If a note pyramid looks wrong, a fragrance is attributed to the wrong house, or a dupe is plainly not a dupe, send the page address and what you believe is off. Fragrance records come from a third-party database, so a correction sometimes has to go upstream, and knowing that a record is disputed is valuable either way.

Before writing about a dupe list, it may be worth reading how we pick dupes. Some surprising entries are the rules working as intended.

Brands, retailers and partnerships

Affiliate and partnership enquiries are welcome at the same address. One thing to know before you write: placement is not for sale, positions in lists are computed from catalogue data, and no arrangement changes them. Anything that would require a fragrance to be ranked differently is declined.

Privacy and data requests

Requests about personal data, including access and deletion, go to the same address. What is collected and why is described in the privacy policy. Your wishlist and scent profile are stored in your own browser rather than on a server, so those are yours to clear at any time.
