Citron

What it is

An ancient citrus, mostly rind with very little flesh. The oldest citrus known in the Mediterranean and the parent of several others.

What it smells like

Thick and bitter, far more peel than juice, with a faint floral lift. It reads as drier and more old fashioned than lemon and is used where a cologne wants some austerity.
